ISSUE:speedaps malware

Postby bobvanderbilt » Sat Dec 20, 2008 12:04 pm

I recently purchased an HP Pavilion desktop at Costco with Vista 64-bit installed. When we were loading our programs and doing the "recommended" updates for them, we began getting a pop-up for this site: -- every time we go to a site (auto sales, for example) and try to click on "enlarge picture" this pop-up appears and hangs the system. If we try to go to another site in the primary screen it takes us to a "bestdailyporn" site. This is frustrating!!!

We have now downloaded several Malware applications; we have the latest Norton application purchased and loaded; we have searched for a solution on the internet; but to date we still cannot figure out how to remove this annoying pop-up.

Can you please advise what this site is, why it continues to pop-up, and MOST importantly -- how we can rid ourselves of this @^%$#& 'redirection' on our NEW PC?!?!?!

It's adware, I've seen lots of it in logs. Please follow the instructions viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2 There and start your own topic in that thread.
